Joel is a professional engineer licensed in the State of New York and has 40 years of civil, environmental and geotechnical engineering experience.

Joel has been active in local civic organizations and professional societies, as well as a participating board member of several not-for-profit organizations.  He has served the Adirondack Scenic Railroad for over 25 years as its Chief (civil) Engineer, board member and Vice President.
