Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
Plumley Engineering has performed over 500 Phase I Environmental Site Assessments for real estate buyers and other concerned parties. These inspections and reports are performed in substantial conformance with the current ASTM E‑1527 standard.
Because each report is customized to the specific property in question, we sometimes vary from that standard as good engineering judgement dictates. Ours are not “cookie-cutter” reports.

Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) are invasive studies of a contaminated (or suspected contaminated) property. Typically, soil borings are completed to below the water table, wells installed and soil and groundwater samples collected and analyzed in a laboratory.
The results provide a 3-dimensional snapshot of the nature of underground contamination, if any.
We have performed around 250 subsurface contamination investigations, providing owners and buyers valuable information critical to their decision making process with regard to the future of the property.
